We produce carbide types with ultrafine and coarse grain structures and with high binding metal contents. Types with high corrosion protection and solder preparation.
K20F Fine-grain carbide grade with a grain size of 0.7 µm for solid-carbide tools. Covers a wide range of K-grade applications. Standard grade for machining gray cast iron, chilled cast iron, hardened steel, heat-treatable aluminium alloys, plastics containing fillers, etc.
K40UF Our most popular carbide grade for an exeptionally wide range of applications. K40UF is made of ultrafine tungsten carbide with a grain size of 0.6 µm. In combination with a cobalt content of 10 %, high hardness and superior toughness are obtained. K40UF is particularly suitable for milling and, due to its high cutting edge stability, has become our standard grade for high performance drilling. Well suited for drilling or milling applications in hight-temperature alloys, stainless steels, cast iron, and titanium alloys.
K44UF
In our milling grade K44UF a Cobalt content of 12 % is responsible for a high toughness, while a carbide grain size of 0.5 µm creates a substantial hardness. In addition to drilling and tapping, K44UF is extremely effective in high speed milling and also highly recommended for hard machining. Material range for cutting covers titanium alloys, high-temperature alloys, cast iron, stainless and hardened steels, and glass-fiber reinforced plastics.
K55SF
Our newly-developed premium carbide grade for high-performance applications. K55SF is made of superfine tungsten carbide with grain sizes between 0.2 and 0.4 µm, significantly surpassing the hardness of our previous grades. This super-fine grain carbide grade features high cutting-edge stability while maintaining high wear resistance and considerable toughness. This grade is applied in highly wear resistant materials, such as hardened steels, graphite, highstrength aluminium alloys, as well as abrasively acting composite materials.
K6UF
Our new carbide grade for reaming applications. Offering a relatively low cobalt content of 6 %. K6UF has been especially developed for applications, where a highly resistance to wear is essential. Based on its superior abrasion properties K6UF is also recommended for drilling and milling in composite materials and graphite. For Aluminium-alloys requiring high material removal rates, the high potential of K6UF will be fully exploited.
K88UF
K88UF is our new top carbide grade for milling hard materials. High hardness and wear resistance with sufficient toughness are achieved by combination of 10 % Cobalt content and a grain size of 0.5 µm. K88UF was especially developed for end milling applications in materials covering hardness range 45 – 65 HRC. Thus K88UF is recommended for milling in fully hardened and tempered steels, hard cast materials, tempered alloys and tool steels. See full material specifications of K88UF
K40XF K40XF is designed for broad band application and is especially suited for machining tough work piece materials in the hardness range < 45 HRC. Including stainless steels, Carbon steels as well as Titanium and Nickel alloys. K40XF works well at low cutting speeds, high feed rates and interrupted cutting. K40XF was exclusively developed with respect to a significantly improved toughness. Combination of 0.8 µm WC grain size and 10 percent Cobalt yields to a high toughness, with simultaneous adequate hardness.
